A standing reference, organized by equipment category rather than chronologically, so you can check whether anything we recommend has an open safety recall before you buy. We track this against CPSC recall data and SaferProducts.gov.
Adjustable dumbbells
Adjustable dumbbells as a category have had safety recalls in the past (detaching weight plates). Always confirm current recall status for the specific model in any build before purchasing.
Cable machines / functional trainers
Cable and pulley systems under load carry mechanical failure risk if a specific unit has an open recall. Confirm before buying.
Weight benches
Check frame welds and locking mechanisms against the manufacturer's current recall list before buying secondhand.
